Both the bronze ear guards are still intact on the helmet.
On the front of the bowl there is a ring for securing the forward end of the crest box. Riveted to the top of the rear of centre is a crest socket of double tube type.
The three embossed steps on the occiput and the two on the neck guard are well defined.
The neck guard projects more at the sides than that of type D and it has rounded angular corners.
The 'eyebrows' are a little unusual in shape, in that there is no median ridge, only two ridges top and bottom that define the shape of the brows.
This helmet was photographed in an exhibition at Leiden Museum in 2007. It has evidently been cleaned up and restored since photographed by HRR.
