This helmet retains its brow reinforcement and cheek pieces. There are no 'eyebrows' in evidence, nor are there recesses for the ears - although this may be due to uninformed restoring.
The rear of the helmet appears to carry five embossed steps while the neck guard has two such.
Just above the front edge of the helmet, there is a decorated brass strip, apparently soldered in position because no rivets are in evidence.
Each cheek guard carries three decorative rivets.
