The brow guard is of right-angled section, rather than being a solid bar.
The ear protection has been beaten out from the bowl of the helmet.
There are three deep and wide raised ribs on the occipital region of the helmet bowl and a single step on the neck guard.
On the top of the helmet is a plume holder with a front-to-back slot for the plume as well as a hole drilled through at right angles to this slot, presumably to secure the plume in place.
There are the remains of two small hooks at the front and rear of the helmet, used for securing the plume holder in position.
