Remarks

Item details
Remarks:
  1. Some of the top of the left hand side of the face mask (including a part of the eye and the left ear) has not survived.
  2. Only a part of the rear skull of the helmet survives and this was made of iron.
  3. The eyes, nostrils and mouth of the mask were pierced.
  4. Compared to some masks, this one is very plain and devoid of detail and expression, although the surviving right ear is well-formed and has some detail in its moulding.
