This helmet is designated "Narona V", one of a group originating from this site.
Originally composed of four iron "rib" sections with straight sides (W, 60-75mm; L, 69-122mm, Th., 1-2mm) of which only three now remain. Between these were four triangular sections (again, only three of which remain), (W, max, 96mm; L, 60-110mm; Th., 1mm).
Around the base is an iron band (B, 45mm; Th.1mm), riveted over the upper helmet bands. The lower part of this band is much damaged and destroyed.
The brow band overlaps in the centre of the 3rd strip of the helmet, where it is fixed by three rivets.
