Iron helmet skull, composed of two hemispheres. These are joined at the top by a riveted flange, from which rises a crest piece, which is hollow.
The skull pieces of the helmet are pierced around the bottom rim by a series of holes, which were probably used to attach a leather 'liner' to the helmet.
