Remarks:
Iron face, plated with silver foil. The mask is attached at the front to the skull, imitating the buckles used in horse harnessing.
Around the head is a crown of laurel leaves, secured at the rear by a ribbon.
Beneath each ear are two rings that would permit the two halves of the helmet to be secured together by a string/strap beneath the chin.
The face presented is that of a beardless young man, with a strong chin.
The eyes, nostrils and mouth are pierced.
