Remarks:
  1. The mask is made with an iron core, overlaid with bronze sheet.
  2. The rear portion of the helmet is made of iron, with a partially tinned brass over layer. This last has been extensively decorated with repoussé work representing eagles' wings and other features. This work is punched into the material of  the brass sheet covering the helmet skull.
  3. Weight = ca. 500 g. (corroded somewhat).
  4. Composition: Cu, 77.65%; Sn, 0.43%; Pb, 0.27%, Zn, 21.34%.
