Findspot: Straubing, (DEU), found 1950 in the Roman villa, 3 km west of the fortress.
Date: first third of the 3rd century AD.
Now kept: Straubing, Gäubodenmuseum.

Item details
Remarks:
  1. Bronze.
  2. Youthful female face with weakly indicated eyebrows and indication of the irises with a circle of metal, soldered to the metal of the mask.
  3. Eye sockets, nostrils and lips been perforated through the metal of the mask.
  4. Upward pointed, tapered 'hairdo' fashioned from tiny rows of curls, arranged about the middle vertex and getting smaller as they rise. They also cover the ears.
