Name: Cavalry Sports CSC 22 (Straubing)
Robinson type: Cavalry Sports C
Findspot: Straubing, Niederbayern (GER). Found on 27.10.1950 in a field by a Roman villa about 3 Km west of the Roman fortress.
Date: first third of the 3rd century AD.
Now kept: Straubing, Gäubodenmuseum.
Dimensions: H, 280mm; W, 175mm.

Remarks:
  1. The bronze mask shows a somewhat feminine face, with curly hair.
  2. The eyebrows are thin and sloping.
  3. The metal of the mask is pierced through the eye sockets, the nostrils and between the lips.
