The face of the mask is male, with at least four rows of tight curls above the forehead. Two of these extend downwards on each cheek, in front of the ears.
The rear part of the helmet carries a raised decoration of a laurel wreath. Beneath this (low down, centrally placed) is a tied ribbon.
A sharply pointed peak extends upwards at an angle, over the front of the helmet.
