Iron. The skull is hemispherical with broad, leaf-like eyebrows embossed at the front. The horizontal stepping at the occiput and on the neck guard is shallow. The neck guard is of moderate size and slopes only gently. It has rounded corners (cf. Imperial Gallic D). Three decorative bronze bosses, one at the centre and one at each side of the neck guard, are unusual. Another pair at each side hold the cheek guard hinges in place.
A reeded brass or bronze band is attached by three rivets across the rim of the skull.
The brow reinforcement is a flat strip of iron, tongued at the centre and riveted at the ends above the brass/bronze ear guards.
The crest holder is of the slide-on type.
The cheek pieces/guards are fully developed with bonze edge-bindings, neck flanges and three ornamental bosses.
A carrying handle is attached above the neck guard by means of two rivets and two split pins, close to the edge.
