The hair is tightly curled in small whirls, and arranged in straight rows across the forehead.
The eyes are rather almond shaped and not particularly lifelike.
The mask is made of silver.
Junkelmann considers that this mask originated from the 'art' market. It is not a genuine Roman item. It is a hybrid and an approximaton to the "Alexander" (as he describes it) type of mask. Nevertheless, it is included here because there is always the possibility that it is genuine and in the absence of proof to the contrary, it should be recorded.
