Iron sheet with decorative features in bronze sheet.
The black colour of the iron skull is caused by the preservation techniques employed. This is not an original feature of the helmet.
Although very similar to the Niedermörmter helmet, there is an additional decorative feature in that two small bronze figures of mice have been soldered to the back quarters of the helmet.
