Remarks:
An iron helmet, quite crudely made. The ear protection is forced out from the body of the helmet bowl, but not to any great degree.
The neck guard is almost non-existant, being merely turned up slightly at the base.
All around the rim of the helmet is a series of holes. These were evidently for the attachment of a lining of some description.
There are no rivet holes evident for the attachment of cheek guard hinge plates, nor are there any of what may be described as 'decorative features'.
