Item details
Remarks:
  • Iron, plated with silver foil (Th., 1mm) with reinforcing layer between. The silver foil is punched upwards from behind.
  • The neck protection is (as is commonly the case) angled down and the form of helmet and cheek protectors show its affiliation with the Weiler type.
  • The helmet is the most complete example of this type known.
  • Photos (c) Jasper Oorthuys, Jenny Cline and Svenja Grosser. Also (last 4), Karwansaray BV
