Copper alloy helmet, of hemispherical form, with a conical plume holder. The bottom of the helmet bowl at the front has been 'knocked back' to thicken the rim here.
The brow guard is a solid casting, secured at the sides with a single rivet.
Although the cheek guards are missing, the hinges remain. Each hinge has two cone-headed rivets (both remain on the right hand side, but there is only one on the left side.)
The neck guard is almost horizontal, and curves in gently at the side to meet the helmet bowl.
