In the original condition, this helmet was much the most damaged of the group. The helmet bowl was badly damaged at the crown, with the plume holder partially detached and forced into the helmet bowl. This was restored in 1993. The cheek guards displayed with this helmet are obviously only for illustrative purposes.
The bronze metal is covered with an oxidised patina.
The cast brow band is secured with two rivets, one each side. On the underside of the neck guard there are traces of a white metal coating. At the extreme ends of the brow band there is a distinct scalloped concavity.
