Comments: Visible from the outside of the museum and overlooking a huge mosaic, is the partially reconstructed tomb of a veteran of Legio V Alaudae. Although he’s depicted in civilian attire, the military connection is clear from both the inscription and the frieze of his tomb. On the latter shields, swords and some other pieces of equipment (?, left top) are depicted. Lucius Poblicius was obviously quite wealthy, because his tomb is much larger (14,60 meters high and 4,60 meters wide) than most others.
