Item details
Unit: Legio II Adiutrix
Rank: Standardbearer
Now kept: Alexandria
Style: Full length
Status: good images - insufficient info
Last updated: Tuesday, 06 January 2009
Comments: The style of the tombstone depiction seems to have been very good, reminiscent of the 1st century Rhineland stones. However, the inscription was obviously inscribed on a crudely flattened part of the stone. Would this have been a reused stone perhaps?
