It doesn't actually clarify if he was killed in combat or if he simply died of whatever causes on the campaign. The use of 'Persian' need not indicate the Persian war of Severus Alexander: Mede/Parthian/Persian were all interchangeable. Still, the rough date should be c. 216-233."
