A typical 'Totenmahlszene', the dead soldier reclining, while on the bottom part of the tombstone, a servant leads the horse. Photos © Martin Wieland and Wigbert Faber. Transcription taken from the site of Prof. Manfred Clauss. The tombstone, when found in 1834, was fully coloured. The detail picture at right shows the reconstruction, made after a contemporary description and painting. This stone is now visible in Dienheim.
