LIX. leg. VI Parthica. Column 1598. Tr. Alexandr Kolouch
[1598]
Likely raised together with IIII and V Parthica during the new organization of the provinces in the Orient by Diocletian, and originally assigned to form one half of the legionary garrison of one of the newly created provinces. At the time of the Notitia (orient. VII 55) it appears only as a pseudocomitatensis in Oriente: so its border province was in the meantime either lost again or put through a fundamentally new reorganization, so that the VI Parthica lost its standing camp on the empire’s front.
